GENESIS (a.) Secure Loved Ones

SECURING LOVED ONES
Like I mentioned before, some of us will move to secure loved ones and protect our families.  This is a legitimate first move and personally my first move as well.  BUT THIS IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY.  Some of us don't live anywhere near our families, so this move will have to be put on the back burner while the real possibilities are evaluated.


Is your family alive?  This is perhaps one of the worst realities of the Zombie Apocalypse;  not everyone survives.  FACT:  The less prepared you are for this event, the more susceptible you and your loved ones are to death!  Get to your automobile and move your ass quicker than you have ever moved before. Once you arrive where your family is (or should be), survey the area quickly while approaching.  Look for familiar faces (living ones and dead) to try to verify if your family is still inside the target building and if they are alive.  If you cannot determine definitely, proceed with extreme caution (while still moving as fast as possible) and with a cool head (don't die doing something stupid or air-headed, that is an epic fail).

If your family is worth a damn they will already have supplies packed up.  If they are not worth a damn, scroll down to the next words you see in bold print.

Once rounded up, get everybody to the vehicle(s).  Evaluate your supplies to determine whether you should proceed to GENESIS (b). (gather supplies) or skip to GENESIS (c). (stay or go). 

If you do not find your family where they should be, and you do not see them shambling about the general vicinity you left them in, maybe they got away before you got there.  Brainstorm where they could have gone, how, and with whom while you move fast back to your car and back on the road.

Now, for the alternative.  We will leave morals and ethics to other blogs and discuss what the Zombie Apocalypse is truly about : Survival.

Could your family be dead?  Sure.  Most of us will not accept this notion without physical evidence (myself included - don't hate).  There will be no "talking sense" into these people.  They will seek their family at any cost. There is nothing wrong with that.

Others will move on in their own best interests.  Dick move?  Maybe.  But who are YOU to judge?  I mean, this is the Zombie Apocalypse we are talking about here, not a day at the movies.  And some people are better at facing facts (and/or jumping to conclusions) than others are.  These people may skip the Secure Loved Ones step and go directly to Genesis (b).  You should probably also pay close attention to my post soon to come that evaluates Karma.
